July Update

Far be it from us to explain how God works. All we know is that hidden in the mystery is something beautiful and far beyond us. And every so often, God gives us glimpse of His ways unfolding.

We caught that glimpse recently.

For the last several months, we have been on a team working on a project initiated by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Los Angeles. Its purpose is to invite the local church into deeper awareness and celebration of Israel’s storyline through history - including how God is working today.

At the center of this mission is a portable, mobile movie trailer and tents we call “The Israel Experience.” Before sending it out for the first time last month, we dedicated it, prayed over it - then launched it into a summer of ministry on the road.

Thank you for your partnership with the Jewish Road this month in helping Israel tell her whole story.

Israel’s storyline - both in this project and in everything we do through The Jewish Road - is God’s to write. He is the One working it together, fulfilling His purposes in us and in history.

He has asked us to pray, to be willing, to engage at the deepest levels. But as much as we’d love to run ahead and do what we think is best - it’s His to work out.

Isn’t that the very thing God reminds us in Romans 11:33, at the soaring height of describing His plan for Israel?

"Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!"

Read it like a prayer; sing it like a song. God’s ways are deep. Unsearchable. Perfect. Beyond anything we could explain. Our role is to be amazed and grateful when He lets us see even a sliver of what He is doing.

This month, we are especially grateful for you - for your generosity in prayer and support, and for your company on The Jewish Road. You play a strategic role in supporting what God is doing in Israel.

One day, when our faith becomes sight, we will see fully what we now only trust Him for - and we will say together, He does all things well.
